Yup. Under 21 and too young to drink,so = dry reception. But we smuggled some into the reception hall.

He was put on senior feed (to bulk him out) and beets, have to get him a smartflex type product because his joints started cracking. And he needs to move, so both of us will be running the property to build up his muscles. And he got his shots and feet done...this is going to be a small fortune

Ortho-shoes for horses??

They already make special shoes for horses. I bought them for a couple of my horses, and yes, they are a small fortune. I figured out a way to make them last longer by welding tungston filler (like used on drill bits) on the worn out shoes. Worked great!

You know how some bad things turn out to be good things...

I had an emergency come up and couldn't make it to the Vette Barn Raising.

Well, this morning I start the Z06 I was going to drive to Texas and it runs fine for about a mile and a half...then the engine drops to idle and it starts throwing codes. I limp home and had it flatbedded to the dealership.

Good thing it didn't happen while I was out of state.

They just picked it up and haven't had a chance to look at it. A long time friend is the service writer and he said they are very busy today and it will be at least tomorrow before they will be able to look at it. My bet is on something simple, but I couldn't see anything obvious when I lifted the hood.


I think I will just go back to bed. Will someone please wake me in the morning............

Well,it is Monday.

Yes, he's going to cost me a small fortune. I don't think I can make it out this weekend...so far his care cost is almost what I put aside for the trip, and I still have to get the stuff for his joints and his "senior" feed. The vet said to work him every other day but work him light, until he's a straight week of the joint supplement, then move him from flat to inclines so the muscle mass can be built.

We understand. It would have been nice to see you and hang out,but this is one thing that can't be pushed aside. We hope he recovers soon and quick. We will hook up some day. You're always welcome to come out any time. Just let us know,so we can stock up on wine.

And its not going to be a quick recovery...maybe 2 months if I ride him a lot.

I have to pick up a bare back pad because his back (top line) is so thin all I feel are his bones . And he is anything but thin...he's got a nice hay belly going on. I'm hoping his inactivity is because of his joints and once I pick that stuff up the stuff he will move and run with the herd.

Wow. Sorry to see this Laurie. I know how much you were looking forward to this. I hope Buzzy recovers quickly. Somehow I think Darrin and Dawn will find a place for the wine
