Default EVERWASH Car Wash Plan

Ok, so I'm one of those that just hates swirls in the paint on my black cars. So, I take the car to the local No Touch car wash, does a great job never touching the car. My last visit to the carwash there's a sign posted announcing their new EVERWASH Plan. For a fee starting at 15.99 to 24.99 per mo. you can wash your car unlimited! Once per day but, any day the wash is open (this one is a 24/7).

Man, they are going to lose terribly on me!

From what I’ve read, those touchless car washes aren’t the best either. The soap they use is extremely strong. In the winter months I use the self service car washes and fill by bucket directly under the ‘No Bucket Washing’ sign. Works pretty good.

I just park my F-150 at the very back edge of the driveway where the sprinklers will hit it in the A.M.

This. ^^^^

Friend of mine used to operate a car wash and said the soap is awful - like washing your car with Dawn to strip the wax. He made good money off the business but never subjected his own car to it.

I've owned several black cars and have always stuck with the two bucket hand wash myself.

I use the wash rack at the airport, 2 bucks for 5 minutes. I have one of those water blade deals to dry off, and then micro fiber towels to finish the job. Every 2nd or 3rd wash, I use Turtle Wax Ice Spray Wax on the Tacoma. Almost 5 years old and the truck still looks new.

I've owned the 5.0 about a year and I have only washed it twice...one full detail, waxed with Pinnacle. It's super easy to keep a non daily driver clean, especially if you don't drive it in adverse weather.

you people wash your cars?

i might wash my truck twice a year, need it or not. most often when i'm visiting my parents, and i can use up dad's water.

but around the house here, where i have to haul water to the property, or hope it rains and I can catch some rain water in my cisterns....too precious to waste on such vanity.

Here at my house I've probably gotten over 6" of rain in just the last 10 days.

we got about 4/10" last night, more expected later today.

presently, i'm filling up the house day tank (450 gallon) with rain water from the 3000 gal tank behind the guesthouse. trying to balance the levels in 3 tanks, so if it does rain, i catch as much as possible in each tank.

1" of rain is about 625 gallons in the guesthouse tank, and about 333 gallons in each of the shop tanks (2500 each).
