GA is an utter failure on many levels. I’m not just saying this. I’ve been there plenty of times and speak from experience.

Just found out an old friend took the easy way out. He was about the last person I expected to do that. Always happy and really self confident. I haven't seen him in 30 years. I guess a lot can change.

Back in the 80s a good friend whom like you said showed no signs of depression bought a 4x4 jeep (he was a Chevy man) and drove up north over the bridge and around lake superior and into Canada as far as he could go until he was stuck in the mud, got out and walked as far as he could before he turned his gun on himself
