It's reasonable to be concerned but why not just opt for frequent checkups? The pre-emptive hack and slash is drastic. It doesn't even fully remove the chance of dying from breast cancer to my knowledge.

Seriously....Why does anyone give a flying feck? Every day average people get procedures like this done and worse but because this chick is famous she gets all this outpouring of support. Where are the headlines about Mary Smith from east bumfeck montana who suffered blah blah blah. There are none because people think celebrities are more important. My complete lack of faith in humanity can be summed up with the fact that we put these morons who play pretend for a living or throw a ball on huge pedestals and pay them MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of dollars but the people that research and develop cures for disease,invent tools and items to help the world etc get near zero recognition and crap pay.

My wife said essentially the same thing. She said she would just get mammograms more frequently and keep them until something did, or didn't show up.
