What do you consider to be art?
Do you prefer realism or abstract?
Fine photography, sculpture, painting, woodworking? Functional items or ornamental? Nudes or fully clothed? |

Charcoal realism is a true art. My sister is a well known artist who has been shown several times, I won't expose her name here. This is not one of her works but in the same class.

I'm having deep thoughts as I'm helping Mrs. V by spraying some of her paintings in preparation for her upcoming show.

Not much of an art guy, although I appreciate the craft.
We have a large blank wall in the sitting room, which was once our master bedroom, that is screaming for some type of artwork. A gallery close by here is charging over $30k for a large oil that I didn't think was worth the canvas. |

Very nice. Here’s one of my brother’s in colored pencils. Very Frazetta influenced. He also does charcoal fine tip sharpie. Does all kinds of cool shit. He got all the talent, I got a rock.

Met this dude and his fam who were staying next door at beach house outside of Tulum MX. He was cool but he was a trip. They were all nice. I’m like what’s your name. He says in thick French accent Americans can’t pronounce my name. “Aurele” Ricard. So I say oh you mean like an American would say oh really and roll his eyes. “Aurele” in French with no American accent it’s not that hard. We hung out a couple times and they were all super cool. He said he has a place in the “yungle “.
Not necessarily a fan of his work. Not vaginal enough. but mofo rich. |

I like impressionist oil paintings from the 1870's-1920's. Also fine engraving on guns, etc. Art Deco buildings, etc. And, of course, many cars.
