We never trusted the ANA (afghan national army) or the ANP (police) for anything when I was in the shithole summer '08-summer '09. The most we could count on them for was guarding the front gate, supervised by US troops, and harrassing the females in the guard towers. They were not to be trusted, but taken seriously as a potential threat at all times. I wouldn't trust them to even know how to sit down the right way on a toilet seat much less provide good security.

Now they're a bigger threat than the taliban after we supplied the weapons and training. How crazy is that.
Should have either GTFO after bombing them to dust or swept the land clear and claimed it as our own. Stupid ass rebuiilding BS. |
