I would be willing to bet a large sum of money that if you compiled numbers you would find that on average, conservatives are more educated than liberals. I would be willing to bet again that the gap is a large one between the parties. If you took out the voters who could not name even a single political stance of the specific candidates the Democrats wouldn't stand a chance.

See how I did that when I don't feel like looking for a source? I presented it as an opinion, not a fact.

Once you are over 65 you get Social Security and Medicare. Its not given out based on who you voted for, its given out based on how much you put in.

Since the general consensus here is republicans are far wealthier than democrats, why do you then think its such a stretch to say what I did?

hell, it's easier to vote than it is to get a drivers license. It's easier to vote than it is to pull a building permit.

Voters should be qualified by showing proof of age and citizenship. ANY other benchmark is going to be against the very spirit of the Constitution.

Irrelevant. Check Article 5. The constitution was meant to be amended, and we have amendments regarding voting qualifications. Those amendments DO represent the true spirit of the constitution with regard to voting qualifications.

The simple solution is to stop focusing on trying to prevent people who have no skin in the game from voting, and start focusing on simply taking away their ability to vote themselves goodies at the expense of others.

Repeal the 16th amendment, outlaw withholding and government intrusion into our personal finances, fund government through sales taxes. You can't discriminate against people on the basis of wealth or income if you don't know how wealthy they are or what their income is.

You can't vote to make someone else pay more taxes but not you if we simply have one uniform sales tax, blindly assessed at the point-of-sale with no regard to race, ethnicity, income, or any other personal characteristic.
