Did exactly nothing today besides play with Bear for a few minutes outside. Started son's car before he left for work... Nice flat tire son you'd better take it off bring inside to warm up so you can plug it.

Refrigerator/freezer question….we have an old fridge on the back porch. I went to get something out of it and moved the ice cream. It was melted like soft serve. So, should I just eat it?



Real question, does the below freezing temps this week affect the freezer?

If it's colder outside the fridge than inside, there won't be the usual heat transfer. Fridge probably just working as an insulated box, maybe the motor died along the way too.

Yes... There's a kit for fridges/freezers if kept in cold areas otherwise they do not function properly. They also sell "garage ready" freezers(probably just have a kit similar to this installed). Some units can actually get damaged if exposed to cold temps. It should return to normal when warms up but keep an eye on it.

Thanks! The fridge part seems “normal”. I moved the stuff in the freezer to our other freezers. It’s 30+ years old.

Common issue up north is warm beer in a fridge kept in cold garage... Not that it ever happened to me I read it somewhere.

Seems counterintuitive doesn't it...
