1981 Corvette is the first one I ever sat in, and of course lusted over! That year I graduated high school and never had another chance until just before my 40th birthday, when I got Lorelei.
Worked at the paper after school and there was a Chevy dealer across the street, always had beautiful Vettes on the showroom floor. Tried my damnedest to get them to let me take one out for a test drive, they said NO WAY!!!  Always thought I'd get an '81 with the 4-speed, but probably won't happen.
