Default April 2012 Photo Assignment
Flowers.

Generic? Yes, but it's springtime, and I know that every one of you has something blooming in your yard, and everyone photographs things differently. I want to see each person's creativity in how we shoot basically the same subject.


Rules:

You must be the photographer, and it must be taken this month. Use whatever camera you have with you at the time.

You may submit several images to get feedback, but by the deadline you must edit it down to one for the voting poll.

Photo manipulation of contrast, brightness, color, sharpness and crop are allowed. "Chopping" something into the image is not allowed. HDR is not allowed. ( I suspect there will be an HDR assignment in the future. Save that technique for that assignment please)

Use of Smart phone apps are not allowed unless used for the standard manipulation listed above. No borders, filters etc. (Again, another assignment)

Deadline for submissions will be 11 PM EST April 27th.

sigh....i have lots from years ago when we lived in MD....but there aren't too many flowers doing their flowering thing at this time of year here in NM. and what there are, are really small wild ones. i'll have to go on a little hike and see what i can find with my Macro lens.

but i have lots of rocks!!

You can go to a home store where they have plants and flowers and snap a few pics. Or go to a flower shop/florist ask to take some pics of a photo contest. No one said they had to be in your back yard!
