My Adjustable Strut Rods Keep Loosening Up..Why ???
I've come to the conclusion that adjustable strut rods suck, so I'm going to change them out with normal ones. Anyone know why ? I cranked them down really good and used lock tight, and they still get loose. Poly bushings.
Here is a picture of my set-up. Are the SU-39A struts in the Wilcox link, the ones I need ? They're closed until Monday.....It's a '79. http://willcoxcorvette.com/advanced_...ds=strut%20rod |

Is the chamber adjustment nuts coming loose? If so, the nuts or male threaded ends may be cut too loose. ( too lose class of thread to hold the load)

Don't know what ya got but I ran VBP adjustable strut rods for nine years on my 78 and for three years now on my 63. Have not had a problem with them coming loose on either car.
