Cost of 4th of July cookout up 17%
Last year the Administration along with their lap dogs in the press touted how they saved us about .16 in the cost of a cookout. ( they forgot to mention the cost of gas to get the supplies made that irrelevant. )
Do you think they will tell you this? Gas up from 2.99 to 4.44. I wonder if this will make the news as well. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/cost-...trk=fb&tsrc=fb Quote:

They should include disposable plates, cups and utensils as they're way up also.
Then throw on propane, charcoal, etc costs. |

Personally, I’m hoping it reduces the fireworks. Bright sides and such.

One of my dogs hates them so I’m not a fan. Also, a bunch of tax donkeys and government dependents celebrating Independence Day seems pretty ridiculous.
Maybe instead of blowing capital on Communist Chinese firecrackers, they could invest it in something productive? Or not. UBI is just around the corner and student debt forgiveness is happening. Let’s party. |

Bullshit. Inflation where I live is 30-100%. The "8%" inflation quoted by the news is a monthly increase. I'm paying $1 more for a 3 dollar item and $6 more for a pound of ribeye. That is not '16%'.

I agree especially if you go back 2 years everything is 25% more minimum. Alot is 30 to 50% higher.
