If you're up for a road trip, Hill Side farms is about 20 minutes from the Lansdale exit of the NE Extension of the Pa Turnpike

Hmmmm, not terribly far from my Alma Mater, Lehigh University. I might have to check that out in the fall! Thanks!

Years ago we flew out to my buddy's house in Cody, WY for Christmas.
His wife served us all a huge Buffalo roast for dinner.
Never before or since have we had a meal that good!

Ted Turner was on the early end of full-scale Bison ranching in Montana. He opened a number of "Ted's Montana" restaurants that are now all over the country. I like the steaks, but some of the specialty bison dishes are great. Particularly, the bison meatloaf an short ribs. Sometimes they make a sirloin tip stroganoff from bison; when it's the special, I always get it.

I’ve been a fan of bison for several years now…as has been said, it’s a very healthy meat have eaten at Ted’s Montana Grill before also (there was a location in the Sterling/Algonquian area). Have been able to find it at decent prices at BJs Wholesale, Aldi, Giant, Wegmans, Safeway, etc.

Has anyone here had Yak meat? We have a local farmers market that carries it, and it is excellent…also a very healthy meat. They sell it ground, and in various cuts like steaks, etc.

When Cosmo was having difficulty maintaining weight, I would even add some bison or yak meat to his kibble, had to change things up occasionally to keep him interested in eating.

Just as an aside, my final Trivial Pursuit question from back in the day that I answered to win the game:
Q: What color is Yak’s milk?
A: Pink
