Angry I picked a good time to start watching what I eat......

....because every trip to the grocery store brings more hyperinflation so I can spend more, and eat less. A dozen eggs at the Aldi's when Trump left office was a buck. Today? $ 2.15. Cream cheese that had been about $ .80/package? Now it's a buck fiddy. Glad I cut way back on the bagels and cream cheese. And the milk, while being one of the only things that has NOT skyrocketed in price....$ 2.79. I grabbed a gallon, new rack, obviously just put out.....it expires in 5 days. I just put it back, because I don't like to waste food, especially not at these prices. obviously there's a supply chain problem with the milk, getting to the store with a 5 day expiration date. But hey, maybe the chicken breasts haven't gone crazy in price. Nope! Still listed for $ 2/lb. The problem is, there isn't any.

It's not just food and gas, the Bidenflation has hit everything. Great Recession II, when?

Biden and the left don't give a dam for the American people.

Noticed that about the milk expiration dates too. I can't drink a gallon in 3 days so I won't buy one. Usually the half gallons have later expiration dates (can't imagine why) so I buy one of those and check the gallons again a week later.

What is the deal with Costco milk? Stuff has the half life of a Twinkie. We don't drink much milk at all... mostly just on cereal for breakfast. We bought a pack of 3 half gallons about 3 weeks ago and the remaining one has an expiration date of 5/10. Gotta be something bad in it??

Food prices are making it difficult for some to eat properly now...
I've cut back on everything with prices so high on everything now(not just food).
Just a matter of time now before the crash happens...

It’s not cheap eating healthy.

And I’m not sure what has happened with chicken lately. Might have something to do with all the chickens that they had to destroy…but the chicken I have picked up at Costco a few weeks ago has been terrible. Super rubbery. Gross.

I couldn’t get past the awful texture. Tossed it right in the garbage. And I intentionally get the air chilled chicken so that it isn’t waterlogged. I also cook with a thermometer so I don’t over or under cook it. Very strange and has just began happening with this last batch of chicken breasts I picked up.

I only do shopping probably once a month for the special dinners I like to cook. I do see the craziness of the prices and it's probably amplified due to the infrequency of my visits. I really notice the "supply chain" issues, but I'm not sure I buy the explanations. WTF happened to Claussen pickle supplies, and why? How come I can't get a piece of non-farmed fish that doesn't look like it was sent through a clothes ringer?

I know these are first world problems, but we seemed to have this figured out just a couple years ago.

We only eat Foster Farms chicken. Nothing is worse than buying some off brand rubbery ass'd chicken, I'd rather starve

It has ALWAYS bedn the left’s plan to crash the economy. All these years, some folks have been predicting this very scenario. They were only waiting to make the move. And now its on

We always get chicken breasts from Smart Chicken, and I have noticed the quality has suffered lately.
It's getting to the point that I won't order chicken when we do go out, a lot of it has that nasty processed texture.

Don't know Costco but the stuff I get from the corner gas station doesn't last beyond the expiration date the way it used to either. Maybe they're cheaping out on the pasteurization? Just got back from trying to buy some. Went to 2 different places and all the gallon jugs expire today. Same with the smaller jugs at one place but the other had a half gallon that's good for another week so I got one of those.

Asked the clerk what the deal was with the milk supply and she tried to act like it's always been this way. She's only been working there a few years so that's plausible ignorance I suppose.

Not the end of the world if I can't get fresh milk. I have two large cases of powdered milk (gallon cans). Shelf life on those is good for about another ten years. If worse comes to worst I can use that in my coffee. Stuff wasn't cheap but it's worth having around.

I’d call them globalist’s but yea, have to demolish things before they can “build back better”.

"core inflation" does not include food or energy.
They are too volatile to include.
