This sounded really good right up 'til the part about dual exhaust.

When you get the final bill from the hospital, after the insurance, you may be able to negotiate a payment plan with them or a lower total payment. As long as you are making an effort to pay they may reduce your bill.

wrong wording......it's covered under our national insurance heath plan, is that better. Plus the suppliers can't charge the gov anywhere near what they pay for the same unit in the USA, and the doctors aren't millionaires here.

someone is paying taxes to fund that program.

nothing is free, just a matter of who gets the bill.

a very generous offer...but there's one hole in your offer: if my heart races out of control i could fall over dead before getting a chance to call you.

do you have a plan B?

That really doesn't seem like that bad of a number...sad to say...

Add a 1 to the front of your bill...and thats what a liver cost my father...and thats when we stopped counting...in 2008. His med costs and post care costs put that number much, much higher.

Not to mention now he is on dialysis at $30,000/ month.

Glad to hear you are still on this side of the ground, let me know when you are taking on some new wood working projects.

Hope to get back in the shop when it's warm. Late march, early April likely.

Hoping for a job offer soon, so I can earn some $$$ to offset the bills. And then get a better bandsaw and a small lathe.

That's the nice thing, everyone pays a tiny amount in their taxes to benefit those who need it. Like you........ and me.

No govt involvement here, all private money. Including a bunch of mine. My exposure is several tens of thousands of dollars.

Little wood lathe.

Big enough to turn 10-12" bowls, about 17" long spindles and things.

Full size lathes run 5,000 to 8,000!!!!

You only have to wait years for the surgery. That is why a lot of Canadians come south to the U S for surgery and pay for it rather than wait
