No deal. Somebody at the Federal level is likely to get a wild hair strung and have ATF declare pot a machine gun. Then all growers would have to turn their crops and land in to the Fed or destroy it. I would choose the smoking crater option if I were foolish enough to start farming now.

I think within the next five years it will be done here. Missouri is much more OK with this sort of stuff than other surrounding states like Oklahoma or Kansas. Arkansas still has dry counties I think, so who knows about them.

Actually I truly think that the feds will reschedule marijuana before the next presidential election.

I only need a farm big enough for 2-3 plants.

For personal use that would be plenty. As a young person the idea of being able to grow, legally, a few plants was but a dream. It's such a great thing to grow, and so easy. The fact that it's illegal is infuriating on a few different levels. As you know, just watch a few videos of the people who are helped so much by this plant.

That would never happen anywhere else.

This is why the biggest lobby against legalized marijuana is the people who have already been growing it for decades. That's why even with a liberal state legislature, the only way to pass legalization was by ballot initiative. We have never had a governor, including Jerry Brown, who was for legalization of any kind.

Maybe we can use the ballot initiative to bring sensible statewide uniform regulation to the industry. The state and local governments are determined to not do so.

Here's an article that outlines that the legal pot industry can't compete with the black market because of the taxes:
