Default Daily driver problems....

I really need everyones help...

Heres the situation. I daily drive a 93 S10 pickup. It runs good. BUT! Its 2wd. and needs a LITTLE work.... also.... It has NO PAINT. Its rattle can black....

The dilema.... I sold my ex girlfriend my 97 blazer 3 years ago. Modded. 4x4 2dr. Mint. Since shes had it, its been used... A LOT but not neglected. Its a solid vehicle. I just bought it back from her for practically nothing... Im talking dollars an cents. BUT, she rear ended someone. NOTHING mechanical. Only sheet metal. SO!

The question is. Do I flip the blazer, make some money, and keep my S10, or spend some time and money with the blazer and make it a decent daily driver!?!?!?!

Im torn.

What my baby used to look like.........

If you're up to a project, it doesn't look like too much work. It depends on what your photos don't show. If you're in it cheap, that's where I would spend my money.

Photos show everything.... I pulled the core support out tonight.... NO frame damage. Drove the truck for 20 mins. runs and drives just as I remember it. Just needs a grille fender and hood.

I think Im going to try and bring the Blazer back.

I have NO hookups in the paint and body field, but I might be tempted to try to fix the newer truck.

I do... and I dont... my shop does a lot of biz with a local body shop. But im not 100% sure what kind of deal he would do for me...

Im going to get the truck registered and bring it by him this weekend. I spoke to my pops and he said i can keep the truck at the house. So I can keep it local right now its at my buddys yard 30 mins away...

Is it even a possibility to sell the S10 to fund the bodywork? That way you don't have to do hardly any work and you get a clean ride at the end of the project.

Right now that's the thought process. The s10 is for sale. Asking 2500. So if anyone knows anyone on the east coast that wants a clean s10 let me know!

If there isn't structural damage, I vote to rehab the Blazer.

No structural damage. Frame is straight as an arrow. The core support got pushed back about 1/2 inch but I already pulled it back to spec tonight nothing a telephone pole and ratchet strap couldn't fix like I said looks like it's ONLY going to be a fender, hood, bumper, grille, and if you want to get fancy a battery tray and head light bucket. Im no body guy but my professional opinion is that I think I can get this fixed for less then 1200... Hopefully....

The Blazer.

They have LS conversions for those rigs. They converted one on Horsepower TV and looked pretty cool.

Cool. 4x4 lsx blazer = sweet. Bed time for me. I'm going to sleep on it but I'm pretty sure I've made my decision. \m/

I would have to agree with everyone also. Go with the Blazer. Nice looking rig! There is a company that makes sheet metal for a lot of cars called Certi-fit. Their prices are usually very competitive if you can't find used parts. BUT, the quality is not OE. The sheet metal can be thinner for example.
