I'm always amazed how tough these things are. Glad this wasn't any worse than it turned out to be.....

Well Gentlemen, here it is. I think it is the best I could do.
How it used to look Bought a 10# sledgehammer in Harbor Freight and had an idea so I bought the socket and a bolt. Drivers side The socket was almost flushed to the socket tower. Ok, lets hear it. Last edited by PLRX; 11-06-2011 at 7:01pm. |

Going to make a cardboard template for the brace today. Its going to be tricky because a 24mm with a special washer goes on top and on the bottom the top of coilover has a rectangular shape. The off set angle etc etc. I think Bryans idea of making this brace is great. To get it weld in my garage will be another challenge.

Watching Gearz, Horsepower, Muscle Car and Trucks pays off.
Making a template for the tower brace. How can I mark the inner bump? done One side is for the passenger side- Flip it around and it fits the drivers side. I got to modify that template for it to be able to be welded. Right now is a tight fit and we know that is not going to fly. Should I buy a small welder and DIY it? Today is 2 1/2 men. I started watching it last saturday (re-run) and I LMAO. Ill watch it tonight and see where it takes me. Tora Nova is up, Im watching that one. Last edited by PLRX; 11-06-2011 at 7:02pm. |

Hey, if you've had any welding experience the Lincoln cracker box is a pretty good tool for your shop. I also have a wire feed mig for smaller stuff. But I can tell you that running a vertical bead in an awkward position is not nearly as easy as just laying down a flat bead.

so lets hear any advice on "how to" get this done the "get it done" way. I have to fix this. This is bothering me. I feel that curve slap me around and I have to go back for revenge. How about if I bolt it down? Last edited by PLRX; 10-24-2011 at 9:46pm. |
