I initially didn't want a c8, but now I think I do. Very few have shipped. With the timing of this corona shit, people are talking about cancelling, but there are no cars at dealers to cancel. That means no deals for bargain shoppers like me.

That said, are you finding any other deals out there? electronics, housing, cars, anything that might interest me?

The deals are always gonna be on older models. With the new c-8 coming out, c-7's take a bigger hit. Unless things get really bad, I don't think even the current crisis is gonna lead to yuge bargains on brand new c-8's.

I realize that. My point is that if c8's were on lots and people cancelled a certain segment would be interested, but they aren't. That said, we can still post up other deals on electronics or whatever. Someone has to keep the economy crawling along. If it helps one business keep the doors open, it matters. now isn't a time for profits, its a time to hold on to what you got. selling inventory could make the difference for some businesses.

There will probably be a fair number of people trying to liquidate things who are not working, bringing in income. I'd expect to see motorcycles, boats, cars, stuff like that start showing up, but this hasn't gone on long enough for real panic dumping yet, I hope.

Still, I see your point. This is the time for people who are liquid and confident they won't be in the same boat (pun intended) down the road if this gets worse who want to bargain shop, to do so.

My wife sold some calls against her NFLX stock this morning.

I've noticed an increase in people selling things on our local Facebook community pages. One person listed a family's worth of quads, ATVs, or whatever you call them. There are also several listings for multiples of yard equipment, like 4-5 snowblowers, lawmowers, etc, in various states of repair. Maybe they were planning to fix & sell them, but now they need some $$? Who knows, but there's been noticeably more activity lately.

I have sympathy for people living paycheck to paycheck, and have lost, or may lose, their jobs. In our early years, we lived like that, and a loss of my income would have quickly become a serious problem.

I just happy as hell I can still manage around the house as NECESSARY, and can get good help from wife's family if needed, and can keep up with car repairs.....'72 vette and wife's 01 Focus.....

Thinking of selling some stuff .....but no emergency about it, just lighten the load around the house a bit......
