I used to buy 2 of them every year for wifes cousin......when he died they were in attic in unopened boxes and all I could get for them were $10.00 each

I see their ads at Christmas time for those trucks, but I have never seen a Hess gas station or refinery. Where are they? Up north somewhere, I presume?

Maybe? We have a place here called Oil City and there's a Hess Street in Saginaw. Seem to recall a Hess Oil Company but that's from like half a century ago so don't quote me on that.

Still have mine from decades ago, what a great toy with the flashing lights. I can't recall the last time I saw a Hess gas station.

Like many things and toys they went from being a toy to play with to a 'collectable' or marketed as that.

There are collectors for the old ones and ones in the condition you mentioned. Just not enough $ to retire on though

We had a few in N.GA over the decades. The last one I remember is now a Pilot truck stop. Not sure, if they were bought out or what. We didn't have many around...but, a few here and there.

Hess used to be popular in the North East, but they were bought out a few years ago by SpeedWay.
