The National Christmas Tree Association named the North Carolina Fraser fir the best Christmas tree species. And not just that, a North Carolina Fraser Fir was the official White House Christmas tree a record 13 times.

And the best of the best is up here in the High Country.

Most prefer palm trees, they last for 50+ years, require very little maintenance, and the yearlings are cheaper than a tree you use for a month and throw away.

Florida has an endless supply of palm trees,,,

When I was in NY a friend's family had a tree farm and they would haul a few trailers down to Floriduh every year after Thanksgiving to sell on rented lots. One time they had a tree that for some unknown reason turned completely yeller, dried up. So they put it in front with a price higher than the rest with a handwritten sign "Special Adirondack Golden Christmas Tree".

It sold within an hour.

I've considered growing Christmas trees. The payoff is 6-8 years and there is quite a bit of labor and other expenses. That's a lot of work to sell a product in 6-8 years for 100 bucks.

There's a National Christmas Tree Association? I'll bet their annual conference is a real wild time.

I believe the slightly-vented lid version will cost you an extra dime
