I've worn glasses for nearsightedness since I was 12.

Had to go to progressive lenses a few years ago. The fishbowl thing should go away. Some people get it worse than others. Mine wasn't too bad at all and only lasted a day or two.

If you keep going back to your single script lenses it'll take a lot longer for it to go away.

I started off in basic and OCS which was all physical and field training.Hurt my knees a few times. Hell, I've had multiple knee injuries as a kid and teenager. Then I was in a tactical comms unit with a lot of field time when I was in Korea. Multiple injuries and then a shoulder injury while snowboarding that required surgery. And my company commander time. I had to do the same stuff my soldiers did and it wasn't all comms training.

I hope you understand I'm giving you a hard time because " Army" some uninitiated would consider my remarks "rude". Inter service rivalry in the form of insults and belittlement of the others chosen service is expected, and in a strange sense a form of respect.

So STFU BOT.

I completely get it, you hot-racking squid. I have been asked about why I'm 90% disabled rated a few times, so thought I'd throw that out there. Should be increased to 100% soon, though.

Pro tip: Don't even try shooting pool with those things on. I just play pool without glasses. A little blurry but way better than wearing the glasses.

I haven't been able to shoot a decent game of pool since I got my progressives.

They make bifocal contacts. A little spendy, but well worth it.

Have you tried playing without them? I also take them off when I'm backing my car into a tight space. They can distort the location of objects by quite a bit.

But except for those few circumstances, I've always been quite comfortable with them. I literally put them on right after showering in the morning and take them of as I'm going to bed.

Can't I am blind without my glasses.

Maybe I should use my old single script glasses when I shoot pool....I think I have an old pair kicking around somewhere.

Not often I do, usually when my Dad is in town. No one else I know anymore still plays.

And it pisses me off when he beats me because he never used to.

And he gloats like a MFer.

Suk to be you! Started wearing glasses in HS for near sightedness! About 5 years ago I forgot to put my contacts in for several days and didn't realize it!!!!! Had my eyes checked and they had improved to 20/30! Don't have to wear anymore to drive and see just fine!

I used to have perfect vision but I couldn't see being married ....
so we divorced.

Badoomp Pshhhh

I actually did have perfect vision until I hit 50 and it seemed over night I couldn't see. Nothing close or far. I realized I have no natural point of focus. Nothing is clear regardless of where I look. I have two pairs of glasses. One for working and one for driving.

I wish to hell I just needed glasses, Doc's been giving me all sorts of eyedrops and I have a condition called Psoriatic Arthritis, same germ that causes my joint pains/deterioration in every joint from toes to nose, is related to the red skin/scale patches, and maybe some of that skin cancer from decades of time on the water every weekend.....and of course running around with my top down.....

The condition has been causing eye irritation too, in the last few years, the drops help, but no cure, sore patch in the middle of my left eye, slightly blurred vision, but they SAY I need glasses to drive, not much diff with/without glasses at those distances.....they do help in the L/R watching TV from say 18' from the screen....and they help with the computer too at 3' while in my loung chair....

I went to the ER about a week ago, the gout in my right toe ball joint was just KRAZY, and sharp, they gave me a shot and a little bit of liquid, and chased with water, in a couple hours I felt GREAT, and the rest of the joints the pain subsided to the point it was hardly felt at all.....that lasted about 3-4 daze and sure enuff, the aches/pains are back in full force, but the right toe is not an issue...go figger.....

Watt I stone HATE is being in pain all the effing time, damn cheap import rusty skeleton, next time I demanding stainless with teflon joints, none of this rusty/creaky/grinding old crap......
