Things I will not miss on a cruise

I just got off a 7 night inland passages Alaska cruise, had a great time. Having said that there are several things i won’t miss:

1. Waiting on elevators
2. Watered down Diet Coke
3. Trying to save tables large enough for 11
4. Standing in lines
5. People shouting “there’s a whale”

Never been on a cruise and have less than zero interest in one.

I've held back on commentary from my 15 day cruise in Europe, as I'm still wrapping my head around it. Two things to note:
1) We were not on the same boat at the end as we started on.
2) Our ship never made it to Budapest

Wouldn’t do it again for just my wife and I, better ways to relax without 4,500 strangers. It was great for our 6 teenage grandkids, they’ll remember this for ever.

Yeah, great for them, pushing grandma and grandpa around in their wheelchairs.

Been on two cruises the past 15 years, both were fun as had lots of family with us, BUT not my thing, as I do poorly in environments with so many others, and playing golf is not easy--I did it in the Caymans, but was not easy, and was $200+ for a shitty course.

One thing I did like, was staying in the piano bar until it closed, but made it difficult to make the 7 AM family breakfast reservation.

It works for some, maybe most, I will pass unless am told I must.

The windjammer buffet was full of them, we stuck with the specialty restaurants.

I opt for the speciality dining about 50% of the time.

The main dining is BS, one night in the main they had the Captain's Seafood Night, everything was fried, and pretty damn certain mrs. pauls was the caterer--was damn nasty, I went to the pool deck and got a few burgers and beers.

I went on ONE cruise and absolutely hated it for all the reasons you mentioned and 50 more.

I believe she only weighed 550 lbs back when ted was hitting it, today she is cleary in the high four digits.
