I noticed when I took the dog out first thing in the morning that the sun was a strange orange color, but didn't notice any smoke. By the time I got home at 5 pm, there was visible smoke throughout the neighborhood, and a faint smokey smell. I figured I would light the charcoal grille to do my part. You're welcome.

Current AQI 147 where I am in VA - almost at code red. I think it's worse today than it was yesterday. Even the dog is having breathing issues.

Nice haze has started to settle way down in NC now, you could see it last night with a flashlight like fog rolling in. Definitely makes it fun to breathe for those who havd issues. Asthma flaring lately anyway so I'm staying inside.

Very smokey here today. My neighbor's house is maybe 40 yards from where I am sitting, and the haze is very visible even in short distances like that. I can smell it, but I wouldn't say the smell is overpowering. NOBODY is out walking their dogs though.
