As an aside, over 30 years ago our church youth group from FL went to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.
When in the Grand Hall, we decided, over 100+ of us, to sing The National Anthem and God Bless America--we did not ask for permission.
It was awesome, great acoustical structure, EVERYONE stopped their walk,the employees stopped working, I have the audio somewhere, there was no video.
The applause at the end lasted over a minute, but sadly, I doubt we would be allowed to repeat the same performance today

And that is what is wrong with THE USA today, not enough patriots, not enough who love our Great Nation above their personal / social agenda.

There are allowances in society for children in almost all things, and a bunch of unpaid, non-political, children singing Our National Anthem should be exempted from rules that are in place to stop political demonstrations.

All I've been saying is the chaperone for that group of kids followed the correct steps to get permission (unlike your entitled karen ass who probably wouldn't even do that because entitled), and this whole situation was a miscommunication where the capitol police did not know they already got permission to do their singing. The content of the performance and age of performers is irrelevant. Frankly if the content was disagreeable to you, you'd probably be praising the capitol police because you're that big of a dupe.

I think the point here is that the National Anthem in the Nation's Capital should be a given with regard to acceptance. It is one of those situations where the offended need to remove themselves as opposed to those accused of being offensive.

If they sang the Chinese National Anthem or wore Li'l Kim N.Korea shirts, that's a different story. Aside from the chaos of multiple groups trying to occupy the same space at the same time, it ought to be allowed without clearance.

I now recall I have visited the DC monuments numerous times, always pisses me off when I see many wading the fountains of the WW2 Memorial, most side on the wall and dip their feet and lower legs in the water.
Absolutely certain this is not the intended use, and have seen many capitol police nearby, AND NONE ASK THESE LOWLIFES TO STOP DOING SUCH.

So yeah, I will stick with my comments, this officer is a POS, she made her decision, instead of implementing an allowance for young kids to be patriotic.

Actually, I very much would enjoy seeing that.

I might also expect their parents to get them out of the fountain, not the police.

So where did the cutoff happen? Seems it didn't and you guys are being super mad over fake news. They might've been stopped from continuing a performance of other songs but allowed to finish the anthem.
