The season after Dennis left to go live with a woman and his kid, they brought in Mindy Kaling (Kelly) as the replacement for Dennis in 'the gang'.
First episode, I was done.
Turned out it was a gag and I think she was only on that one episode.

I always hated Raymond but enjoyed Office. Raymond was never funny at all. Never watched Friends, either. Liked Seinfeld and King of the Hill.

Raymond was always really hit or miss. There were some times that I would think it was the best show on TV and some times I couldn't figure out why anybody would ever watch it. Same for King of Queens

Never liked Raymond or Seinfeld, but figured it's probably enjoyable to the "immigrants to new york" demographic. There were funny moments here and there for sure, but that larry david comedy is largely intolerable unless you unfortunately can identify with those kind of people in real life. Otherwise, it just makes you hate people you've never met even more.

Guess you had to be Italian growing up to appreciate Raymond, and the late Peter Boyle is one of the funniest straight men ever. Seinfeild was once described as all about "urban angst" and it is, liked it but having grown up Italian in a Jewish neighborhood the cultural approach to the humor and writing got to be a bit much.....

As to the office, that weird looking guy that went on to the Jack Ryan series and did a credible job was a bit of a surprise, so was the lead going on to make "Dinner for Schmucks" - arguably the worst move made with a well known lead in it. Cringeworthy even on a good day. You have to wonder what Steve Carell was thinking when his agent brought him that gig.
