Unhappy Two years.
It is hard to believe that it has been that long...where did the time go?? And yet it feels like it was just yesterday they truly do take a big piece of you with them when they go.

I took a good drive to the beach today...the place I took him when I first got him and just before he passed. It is where I’d like his and my ashes scattered together someday. I drew a tribute message to him while there. It was a beautiful day, he would have enjoyed it.

Had to make the painful decision last week for best buddy of 10 years. It'll be a long time before I get over my 4 year old son having to say goodbye so "he could go live with the other doggies and get better."

My sweet little Smokie went to the bridge yesterday evening after a long bout with multiple illnesses. One of the few good things to come out of this pandemic is that I got to stay home and take care of her.

No doubt in my mind a long life well-lived due to your TLC whether it's 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, 15 years, etc...the loss of a beloved pet hurts like heck nonetheless.
