That guy that walloped the beam while the welder was working needs his ass kicked.
About 25 years ago I was working at an oil refinery and we were installing some larger diameter pipe in a ditch. Typically when you start getting into larger pipe sizes you'll see two welders on the joint, each working his side. This is referred to as 'Brother-in-lawing' a weld. The progression on pipe welds is uphill. In other words, you start from the bottom and work your way up. Two guys were paired up on one such joint who didn't really get along all that well. (I knew them both) One of them never STFU. He just continuously ran his mouth. They were on their last pass of the weld and the quiet one got to the top of the joint before the loudmouth, flipped up his hood and waited. When loudmouth finally got to the top, he flipped up his hood and the quiet guy reached across the pipe just at the hood went up and drilled him right in the mush. SUPRISE MOTHERFUKER! |
