Can this option be changed so a clicked link posted within a thread opens a new tab/window (_blank in HTML speak) and does not replace this site as the origin tab/window?

OK, this doesn't seem to be consistent. I found other threads containing links, and they worked as expected (they opened in a new tab).
This was the one that caused me to post this thread: https://www.thevettebarn.com/forums/o...over-here.html Clicking Rob's link in the above thread replaces this site with DC (within the same tab). Why does it act different?
