Yup. And as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment: Hebews 9:27.

But if you're saved, you have nothing to fear since you already have the ultimate life assurance policy.

My last flight to PI I remember seeing the temp at -91*F when we were at 35k ft - but we were over Siberia at the time....not sure if global position matters that much when at that altitude, but it was at night.

My guess - if the plane breaks apart at those altitudes - the people would immediately freeze and suffocate in about the same amount of time. They would only see a very brief moment of the disaster before they blacked out and death occurs

yep; the fault with Air France Flight 447 was twofold:

* Airbus (nuff said)

* stupid co-pilot held the stick back and apparently never let go, though the engine thrust was at TOGA.

How about dying and going to the real hell of the actual one true god because you picked the wrong One True God.

Me, too. Our human nature instinctively fears death. Remember, even Jesus was afraid of dying and prayed to get out of it three times in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Death is something we were never designed to experience in the first place as we are all created beings of eternity.

Fortunately, Jesus paved the way to eternal life through his glorious resurrection. He conquered hell, death and the grave in one fell swoop and has prepared a place for us to live with him forever as friends in his kingdom. What love the father has for his children!

The TWA flight blew up at 16,000 ft. on a hot summer day.

i've jumped from a plane at 14,000 - it is cool there, but not cold...and plenty of air.

Those people saw terror

I seem to recall that there was a blocked static port (taped over while the plane was washed, and tape never removed), that gave erroneous readings to the pitot static instruments, and the flight control computers.
Inadequate pilot training just rounded out the number of issues that plane was having.
Then the French government did their best to place the blame as far away from Airbus as they could.

I'm guessing the motive is to gain recognition to their cause?
What if this is just the first in a series of planned events, and identifying themselves would jeopardize the coming acts? Just speculating here, of course.

TWA 800 was delayed on the tarmac waiting to take off, and it was a very hot summer day.

Hot jet fuel creates vapor that is just as volatile as gasoline.

I remember watching the news reports immediately following that crash, and I remember very well how many eyewitnesses said that they saw something shooting up towards the airplane followed by an explosion.
When the NTSB report came out I was sure there was some kind of conspiracy and cover up, but I have changed my mind.
I think what the witnesses actually saw streaking upward was the airplane itself.
I think there were two explosions. The first was the center fuel tank exploding, which actually caused the fuselage to break in half just forward of the wing root. That explosion is what got the attention of so many people on the ground, and caused them to look up and witness the second explosion.

With the front half of the fuselage missing the aircraft became tail heavy and pitched up immediately, so the first thing all the witnesses saw when they looked skyward was a fiery object that was climbing rapidly.
After climbing and burning for several seconds the rear half of the plane then broke up further, and the fuel from the other (full) tanks exploded which created the massive fireball that everyone saw.
I stand corrected. I figured the flight being trans Atlantic would have a full fuel load. From what I can gather,747's only need fuel in the center wing tank for flights over 5000 miles, and the flight to France was only 3,500 miles. Either way, it is a tragedy.

If memory serves me correctly it was just over 10k feet. I saw the altimeter gauge frozen at that height as the pieces of the aircraft were mapped out on the floor of a former Navy hanger in Calverton, LI when I was involved with the recovery.
