Default Now the fun begins
Road widening on Rte. 105 outside of Boone NC. This formation looks to be very dangerous due to the slope of the layers.

The contractor is allowed 15 minute closures several times per week. I think this time, he needed more like a few hours.

Going from memory from high school earth science, it can take from ½ to 1 million years to grow a rock enough so it doubles in size.

Of course if it's the wrong kind of water, it can shrink by half.
