Well. I just bought a 2016 Honda Odyssey for the family car.

Surprisingly, it is very nice on the road and handles well. The one thing I love is that it is easy to get my son in and out of his car seat right now with the sliding door and with another one on the way, I will have to be loading two into car seats soon.

I got it loaded with all options except the vacuum cleaner. With the automatic doors it will be easy to load and unload the kids and the back is low enough that my wife can easily fold up the stroller and put it in the rear storage area.

I am not a minivan guy, but I do love this ride and enjoy driving it.

Honda makes great vehicles, period.

I like the CTS-V Wagon but think about it: Are you really going to use all that HP? When I had the Gallardo, I didn't come close to using over 500HP. I like to think more in terms of usable HP these days. I don't think your plan is to track the car, so I think you might be spending a lot of cash for nothing.

Then again...if you like the car...nothing should stop you from buying it.

Tom,

Just accept the fact that it's that time of life when the minivan makes sense. Accept it. You have two race cars. Its time to be the soccer mom.

The more I thought about it, my son will be 4 in a couple months and I wanted the extra seating so if/when he has friends that we want to take places with him we would have the extra seating. Also, we may have more than just kids riding with us places. It will seat 7 and fairly comfortably.

I really do love driving this van around. With the Bluetooth stereo and the cameras and all the collision avoidance systems, it really should be a good car when the wife finishes her driving lessons and gets a license.

Oooooooh. I have always liked those. Not sure how a kiddo seat in a 2 door SUV is gonna work out though.

In a similar mindset, I have also considered a Grand National.

I think it's principle with the V-Wagon. Station wagon - not cool. 500+hp station wagon - VERY cool.

On the same note, resale should be pretty good on them, especially a 6 speed given the rarity.

Wait... are you calling me Tom? If so, I refuse to accept this reality. I actually made the wife sign an agreement (that was also notarized) saying that I would never be forced to drive a minivan. Luckily she likes cars almost as much as I do.

The V-Wagon as kind of a middle finger to the minivan reality. Sure... I'll drive a "family car".

When had a 2001 Honda Odyssey EX for more than a decade. It was a great vechicle with plenty of room for seven, luggage and towing capacity, too.

Our '15 F150 super crew has been the sleeper hit of the line-up.
Legroom for miles and in the back we can fit the baby seat, booster seat and room for my 12 yr old daughter who is fairly tall and leggy.

We got really close to doing the mini van thing but just can't do it.

Subaru Forester 2.0 Turbo? We just bought a 2.5i but the turbo version RUNS. Plus all wheel drive and the sightlines out of this thing are unreal. No manual option with the turbo though.
