The center of the cone has moved from 75 miles east of me to about 50 miles west of me. Unless something weird happens (and it very well could) it will keep moving west perhaps to almost Tallahassee, about 125 miles west with much less punch to me. I am 15 miles east of Lake City Fl in Olustee.

I am currently in Meridian MS at my sisters. Makes for a nice visit but I am concerned

Landfall is generally the end of a hurricane. But since Cuba doesn't have the terrain that it takes to totally snuff-out Irma - there's a chance she will go into the Gulf of Mexico and rebuild..... for landfall again in Texas, Louisiana, Georgia.

Although it looks like Florida may be spared the serious parts of this hurricane.... it ain't over yet.

I'm home in Mary Esther right now. As its currently being forecast, I should be ok. Might have a little bit of rain.

I am the southernmost house in the United States for my particular longitude. I'm right on the water.

If anything hits, I'm the one that has to "take one for the team" for everyone to the north of me.

Update from Davie,Fl Winds about 25-30Mph no power loss yet no tree damage yet not much rain yet and still have satellite TV. So far so good. What I can tell you I will weigh 30 Lbs more when this event ends...

Well if this thing goes a little further west you may be in trouble where your at. Watch this one good for your location in the panhandle.
