Car was great... finished 2nd both days and won two more tires. The white interior helped with the heat, my coolshirt was liquid heaven, and I had no issues getting in/out of the cage or any clearance issues. Only bummer was Hoosier sent me the wrong tread compoud but I didn't notice until I was putting the fresh wheels/tires on the car.... no way for me to give the winner a run with harder rubber.

Ok... so the new Spal is in... lighter, more room in the engine bay and better air flow.

Halltech filter on the stock air bridge.... stock air bridge stays in place better than the aftermarket one and is more secure.
A few revs with the exhaust back together sans cats. Noticeably louder than before... http://www.facebook.com/v/2854864661970 |

AEM wideband installed. Pretty neat piece... sensor doesn't need "free air" calibration and everything is contained in the gauge; no extra boxes. Got it from All Aspects. Parking brake grommet works perfectly for running the sensor to the h-pipe... |

Ended up setting a new TTA track record this weekend at VIR with a 2:03.65 lap. Prooving that you don't need 315s to go fast

That's what I used to run... love that setup on 18x10.5 rear Z06 wheels. But then I went to the 255s which allowed more mods. Then they changed the rules to make the 255s "cost" as many points as the 275s so my options were to take some mods off my car and run 275s or 255s or try the next step smaller and do more mods. I decied to go smaller and make the car a little lighter and add a few horses via the intake and cat delete. Worked out well.
For ST2 the 275s are the setup. I need to get some so I can have a ST2 wheel/tire setup and keep the 245s to run TTA. |
