Never mind. Just looked it up. Why did I think it was by Maxwell Maltz? He apparently wrote a book called "Psycho-Cybernetics", but I'm pretty sure I never read that. I recall in 12th grade we had to read "Subliminal Seduction" in Sociology class. All about advertising.

I learned about subliminal trickery used in advertising on a Columbo Movie of the Week where they used a 'subliminal splice' in a film to help commit a crime. Very cool stuff. Back when movies had plot and content. Not a bunch of animated crap.
