True story from today: I'm at my gym, and have been trying to get 4 reps with 195 pounds on the bench. I ask a guy for a spot, and for the first time, get all 4 reps! When I get up, he says "4 reps with 200 pounds, not bad!". I'm like WTF? He goes on to tell me that some of the bars in that gym are 45 pounds, and some are 50 pounds. The ones I have been using are 50 pounds. Of course I am skeptical, but he swears it's true! He even said "One time, there was this rock-headed moron that wouldn't believe it, so he carried one of each of the two different kinds of bars into the men's locker room and weighed them on the scale!" Of course I responded "What an asshole!", and we laughed heartily!

Later, when that guy left, and the free weight room was damn near empty, I went into the men's locker room, picked up the scale, carried it into the weight room, and weighed the two different kinds of bars. As it turns out, some are 45 pounds, and some are 50 pounds, and I had been using the 50 pound variety!

Can you imagine what kind of moronic, rock-headed, asshole it would take to carry 95 pounds of barbells back and forth to the men's locker room to weigh them, when all you had to do was carry the 8 pound scale back and forth? Geeeeeeeeez!

Hey Bar Folk. I need some serious help from 1120 Crew and OG CFOT’rs. My car is in the running for a Kerbeck sponsored online car show at ‘the other place’. A funny thing that happened is when I posted for help in OT at ‘the other place’, Zeek bogarted my idea and started a similar thread, then fishy panties and her crew strongly supported Zeek, but very few (mentioned above) voted for me, so maybe I am seen as a 1120 outcast? Anyway, I’ve been friends with some of you for years, I just don’t always post that often due to certain circumstances. This contest is important to me as I have entered many, but never had a shot and I actually have a chance in this one.
