If Oregon had won, I would have moved them higher than 4. The Oregon players went on the road in a hostile environment and outplayed Washington. Unfortunately for them, they couldn't outplay both Washington and their own dumb-ass head coach. Washington deserves credit for pulling out the win, but if these two meet again on a neutral field for the PAC title Oregon will be favored. Oregon = best of the 1 loss teams right now, assuming their coach pulls his head out of his ass.

North Carolina deserves to move up bigly, not just for whipping Miami (final scored was misleading due to Miami garbage time points) but for improving every week. Obviously the offense is elite with an elite QB who would go #1 in the NFL draft in any other year without Caleb Williams also on the board, but Gene Chizik has really improved this defense and they have an elite pass rush. They look better than FSU right now and the two look to be on a collision course for the ACC title game.

Ohio State and Penn State: lower in my rankings than the AP, but will resolve itself next week when they play - someone is getting a MASSIVE win here.

PAC-12: starting to sort itself out. UCLA and Washington State - falling back. Washington, Oregon, Oregon State, Utah, and USC are the PAC contenders. USC got embarrassed, but luckily for them it wasn't a conference loss so they're still tied for 1st place with Washington. But it's hard to see them being able to beat either Washington or Oregon with that LOUSY defense unless their offense puts up 50+. Which they weren't able to do against the 1st good defense they played all season last night. Washington and Oregon both proved on Saturday they can play some defense against elite offenses. Don't sleep on Oregon State, quietly rolling along with only 1 loss and wins over Utah and UCLA. Don't sleep on Utah, continuing to prove they have the BEST defense in the PAC and are in the conversation for best D in the nation. Cam Rising will EVENTUALLY be back in the line-up. PAC-12 still the best conference this season.

SEC: Alabama fell asleep in the 2nd half and let Arkansas make things interesting. But don't sleep on 'Bama - incredible defense, incredible O-Line play. They're still a contender but have to be perfect from here on out. 2-loss LSU, despite their defensive woes, STILL controls their own destiny for the SEC. With some help, it's still not outside the realm of possibility they could even make the playoff with a win over 'Bama in the West and UGA in the SEC title game. Tennessee still only has 1 loss, big win over A&M yesterday. But it's actually Florida in the east that still controls their own SEC destiny behind UGA due to their win over the Vols and 1 of their 2 losses being non-conference to Utah.

On another note, it will be funny to see exactly how fickle Boulder, CO is in the next week. While it was a total collapse of players, the coaches absolutely lost control of the game. Their inability to calm and focus the team led to mayhem on the field. Should be a fun week in the funny papers.

Just like I will bet against them against Oregon and Washington. USC got boatreaced and is still ranked. Wisconsin loses 15-6 to an unranked team and nobody gaf or cares.
