Politicians destroyed it. Immigration until then had been pro USA.. Bring in what we want, from certain areas. Educated. Then they started letting in anyone, just for power.

I worked at DOJ back in the early 2000s and was tasked to broker a deal between the FBI and old INS trying to get them to agree on fingerprint technology SPECIFICALLY to stop border infiltration by criminals. It was like pulling teeth as the two agencies mistrusted each other a lot. I managed to get $5 million dollars for a prototype effort to "fix things" and then 9-11 happened, DHS got formed and the CBP was born and NOTHING got "fixed".

It doesnt get fixed by design. Why fix something, when you can lose a lot of financial gain..

Once you realize that it is government, itself, creating these crises so that it may then "fix" the crisis by removing more of your freedoms, the whole system starts to make a lot more sense.

I do think many people know most of these crisis' are manufactured.. history shows that.
There are things has the government been involved in that actually betters this country.
Initially at least, then they start to turn it into their own cancerous money pit.
