I was born and Raised in the Deep and Dirty south, my Family is old school...I was raised to love and respect all people, and treat them as equals...as I would like ot be treated, and I do just that. I have black, Asian, German, Irish, Gay friends....and so on, I treat them normally.

I was also raised that...races shouldnt mix, whites with whites, blacks with blacks, asians with asians, and so on. Its not a racist thing, as much as it is the old way of thinking. When I see an interracial couple...it doesnt sit right with me.

I was raised that, Gay is bad, that if there is a Hell, Gay people are going there.

I dont burn crosses, i dont lynch people, I dont burn rainbow flags, I dont use unkind racially charged epitaphs...but It doesnt mean i like the choices others make, doesnt mean I agree with them...but I have the right to do as I please ,just as they do.

As long as they are singing a song about America, I'm ok with it. If I heard them each singing about their own and being portrayed as loyal Americans, I might feel differently. An assumption should not be made that they are condoning or promoting ILLEGALLY entering the country either. Sing whatever language you want if you are here legally.

I am one of those legal immigrants. Back in 1966, I had to complete reams of paperwork, health exams, extensive criminal background checks, have a guaranteed sponsor/employer so I wouldn't place a burden on the American people, and multiple interviews before I was granted a green card.

Now, it's minimal, unless you come in illegally, then (your first act on our soil is a federal crime), you're in line for all the freebies regardless of your health(TB), or your attitude toward assimilation.

BTW, I'm with you on the pro ball leagues but draw the line at my fellow canuck, Justin Hasabeaver....

I had the idea long ago that we just ... look the other way... if mercenaries or hunters or snipers wanted to "test" their firearms at the border. I think if you take a few out at the front of the line, the rest will have a change of heart. Repeat as necessary until problem is resolved.

Just to clarify, I have no issues with the commercial. It's an advertisement to sell a product. I really had no feeling towards it in a positive or negative way. My point was I don't get riled up by commercials nor do I take any direction from them. My beliefs about equality and tolerance came from my upbringing and my personal views of the world, not what a soda company tells me. You should accept people because you want to, not because a soda company told you to. Maybe the intent was to create dialogue like this and get people to be a little more open minded. I really had no idea people would get so worked up over it.
