What are you drinking tonight?

I've been drinking mostly (different) Martinis and merlot for several years now, with some Spumante, Amaretto, orange liqueur, or whatever thrown in once in a while.

So I went to the liquor store today and bought some Southern Comfort, and am nursing my second one now. I had to quit drinking whiskey 15 or so years ago because it burned my throat and I don't need throat cancer -- I knew a guy who died from that around that time (it was "Crazy Lori's" previous BF).

If I put the SC on ice with a splash of water it goes down fine though.

Now I gotta stir-fry some Korean pork belly.

Apparently it's one of the actors from Yellowstone, I've never seen the show but then the bartender told us he was sitting right behind us.

Good stuff and they also make a Cabernet that is fantastic.

Reason I ask it my neighbor is looking at getting a bourbon barrel, 45 gallons, uncut so about 130, about 180 fifths after evaporating from aging.
Will run about $80/per, will try to get me and him and three others.
So we all get 36 bottles, costs about $3K each.

Not sure if I am on board, would like to know if you got a distillery to do a few custom labels to you,,, thanks.

Yes it's a real label from my last name. My daughter who was in Kentucky saw it and bought me a bottle.

Yup, it's very tasty. Publix had it on a BOGO sale before Christmas so I got 2 for myself and gave 2 for gifts.

Today trying a Trader Joe's thinly rebranded Barbera or Nizza riserva from the Piedmont (north) area of Italy. Bersano Estate named, 100% Barbera grapes, 3rd most prevalent grape in Italia.
15% alcohol.
I would call it very dry, moderately complex, medium body. I love it.
I think it cost me around $15-18. Looks to me like it 'should be' about a $27 wine.
Trader Joe's is Teh Bomb for wine .... and maybe for cheeep spirits as well.
