You wrote it yourself. The accumulative shitstorm is just the resulting whirlpool. EV mandates, canceling previously approved oil leases and the resulting run away inflation are just some of Biden's "crown jewels" of accomplishments.

I sure do miss the "mean tweets" when the country was actually doing better. Better food supplies and PRICES

We agree on this one. I only paid $2.29 for gas yesterday so that impact is just about done and corporate America should back off on the higher prices they were charging when fuel was more expensive and that was their excuse. For example, do you think airlines will ever lower their prices again?

What you fail to grasp is that most of us have been around the TDS merry go round with you too many times.

Nobody GAF if you're disappointed in the manner of the replies to your predictable rants.

You mean rants like But Trump!

So much anger from the righties tonight. So much denial and refusal to discuss the issues that about to smack them right between the eyes. Denial is a wonderful thing to some I guess.

FYI, your CONSTANT whining and whining about Biden are pretty tiresome as well, too bad there's no emoji for that.

Do you deny the fact there are a **** ton of *****, liberals whiners who refuse to go back to work, or simply refuse to work because:

1. They were getting paid not to work
2. They demand to work from home
3. They demand a $15/hour, or more, minimum wage. No wonder prices are up.
4. Working 40 hours a week is hard
5. Bosses are mean because they actually expect results

I could go on, but you get it.

I absolutely agree with you on almost all points, my frustration with it all is mostly why I retired at 63. My only deviation is minimum wage. If we don’t get corporate America to pay a living wage we will be paying for entitlements out of our pockets. Six of one, half a dozen to another I suppose.

If minimum wage is too low, you have tons of people supplementing with welfare anyway so their effective earnings might as well be the same as a higher minimum wage.
Raise the minimum wage and take away the excuse from all the unskilled labor that claims they don't make a livable wage, they'll probably still mostly end up broke due to debt as they will always live beyond their means regardless of what they earn.

What I'm not seeing is a proportionate boost in pay for higher paying jobs. If I previously earned 6 times as much as a McDonald's worker, then they boost minimum wage so that I'm only earning 3 times as much as that same McDs worker, it's a kick in the nuts for me because that plays out as a pay cut based on cost of goods.

Good point but that is part of the problem, the disparity between skilled and unskilled was simply too large. There should be growth at both levels but not sure it should at the same rate.

Regarding inflation, I may have missed it but I don't think anyone mentioned that some of the inflation we have seen is due to massive government spending during the Trump administration.

Before all the Trumpsters call me names or post laughing emojis, notice I said some of the inflation.

OK, double it. The economy will react and they will be in the shit can again, and asking for more entitlements. You just move the goalposts. There will ALWAYS be jobs that pay less for 40 hours than it takes to support a family. Many of those jobs will require you to share housing if you are single. Why is this so hard to understand?

I say get rid of the minimum wage completely. If two entities (worker and employer) come to an agreement on an amount of pay for work completed, why should the govt be involved in that discussion? Let's be honest, some people currently making $15/hour don't deserve that much. We need more personal responsibility and less cradle to grave support from the government.

We all recognize that. He's been raked for that within his own constituency. We can argue about how COVID was the big driver, but that will be a drop in the bucket compared to the drain of immigration.

Fast food workers and grocery store baggers wanting a "living wage" for such tasks still makes me laugh. When I grew up they were "stepping stone" jobs for people with some hutzpah and a modicum of ambition. It wasn't a good model to support a family or provide a living. Its things you did while you went to school nights or learned a trade or started a side business, etc..

Of course this was before such menial, unskilled jobs got you shot at, beat down, hauled through a drive up window or chairs thrown at you because you didn't give somebody enough dipping sauce.

And we are ALREADY paying for entitlements out of our pockets.
