Is there a market for doors? As in historical correct homes?

I didn't major in marketing if you are referring to the market for wooden doors!
I know my area has neighborhoods that doesn't allow homeowners to put siding on historical homes. And the historic homes have like 8-11 foot wooden doors and the taller the door over time...well they warp from the weather and just the weight of the door and need to be replaced.

Hmmm, wonder if you could make a cutting board with a name/word built into it? How much do they run Doug?

treenware: old time word for stuff like wooden spoons/spatulas.

yes, it is possible to work a letter or name into a cutting board, i'm working on a solution presently for Wendy, still needs some more testing. i may find it is not worth the hassle. it's easier to wood burn a message on the edges...really.

cost depends on size and woods used, for budgeting, between $0.80 to $1.20 per square inch will get you close. if you have something specific in mind, PM or email me, and i can give you a more exact quote.

most cutting boards i make are between 1-3/4" and 2" thick, give a good mass, and it's not too thin that it risks breaking if your SO bops you over the head with it.

a nice 12x12 board, out of mostly maple with some walnut accents can be done for under 100.

we can discuss. different woods have different costs.

Evening everyone!

You just never know what you might see in the drive thru of McDonald's. We stopped for something to drink and while we were waiting at the pay window, we heard a scrape, then a kind of a klunk, looked over to see this:

Then we saw the reverse lights come on and the heard the tires spin. As we were speculating how in the hell they ended up in this predicament, the driver got out of the car and ended all speculation. It was a woman, about middle age and her stumbling around the parking lot answered the question of how. The county cops were pulling in next to her as we were leaving so we pulled across the street to observe. After getting all of her information, the officer had her walk the white line then offered a free ride in the back of his car.

Just like you and Darrin need more excitement.
How is the rest of the family doing? I texted him my condolences as I didn't know where the two of you were and didn't want to interrupt any of the planning. But you both know you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Actually it was a nice diversion.
Everyone is doing as well as to be expected, thank you for asking. All of the arrangements have been finalized. Even though we knew it was going to happen, it's still hard. At least she was resting peacefully and kind of slipped away. At 102 years old, she lived a long full life.
