And as usual, you are 100% full of shit.

I spend a lot of time on highways and a lot of time at race tracks. At least 50% of the trailers being towed are being towed by 1/2 ton trucks or SUVs. Hell, I tow on a very regular basis with my Escalade (that is a lot more capable than the Cybertruck).

"Frequently", "Heavy", "long distances"... you keep adding this strawman shit to try to minimize and deflect. It's pathetic.

It doesn't have to be frequent, heavy, or a long distance. Unless your definition is bringing a Harbor Freight trailer to your neighbor's house, they f**king suck at towing. Period. 200 miles is not good range. That's not debatable. It is far worse than any truck made in the last 2 decades.

It's actually difficult to imagine someone so incapable of accepting reality at such a basic level. You are truly a zealot.

WTF? I've been towing for almost 50 years, and have held a class A commercial drivers license for close to 30. I have NEVER had to unhitch ANY trailer I was towing whether it was a single car or 8 car rig to re-fuel. EVER.

And who plans travel trips by how many restaurants are on the side of the road? Really? This just affirms the complete lack of understanding of physics you have. Very telling.

It's amazing that someone could actually think that having to unhook the trailer and leave it while you go spend an hour charging every 2-3 hours is no big deal.

Nobody does. He had to think of some way to try to justify stopping constantly and unfortunately, this stupid shit was the best thing that he came up with.

The base Cybertruck is $61k, gets $7500 tax credit, so $53500 total cost.
A Supercrew witih decent options is at least $45k. $45k + $16k = $61k for 100k miles.. You will also need tons of oil changes and brake pad changes.
I'm not sure I understand what you are going for here, but if you think there will be an INCREMENTAL cost of $16K for maintenance of an ICE truck over a cyber truck, you're more clueless than I thought. Add to that what we have already covered, that EVs need more expensive tires more frequently than ICEs, and there is no way you are making up the price difference in maintenance costs over 100K miles.

Phred can't understand that some people, especially on some trips, just don't want to "stop to smell the daisies". My son and I drove just short of 900 miles to a robotics competition in my wife's MDX. It was basically all boring interstate highways, with NOTHING interesting around at all. We drove until one of us had to use a bathroom, or until we were nearly out of fuel, whichever came first. About the time the vehicle was getting really low on fuel, we both needed a bio break, right around the halfway point, so we stopped, pissed, ate a "warm meal" at McD's, filled the tank, and drive on to our destination. We did the same thing on the way home.

Anyone who under 60 years old and can't go at least 3 hours without taking a piss either needs to cut back on the diet sodas, or they should see a doctor. It is NOT normal for relatively young folk to need to take a piss every hour.

When my best friend and I were 8 or 9 years old, we went with his mom to get a Christmas tree. His mom instructed us to remove the branches from one side of the tree so it would fit snug to the wall and take up less space. We told her it would fall over if we did that....that it could not stand up because it would be out of balance. (we didn't know what the word physics meant then). She insisted that we were nuts and gave us shears and told us to just do as she said. We did, and sure enough, the tree wouldn't stand up. Kept falling over. She finally ended up wiring it to the ceiling with picture wire and we snickered off to get into more mischief.
As an aside, I like to eat different foods at different locations, but in the past 25 years, have noticed that on the side of the main highway, there is no diversity. It's all the same chain crap. So that argument doesn't hold any water. The cool local hole-in-the wall German or Polish or Greek place is going to be downtown or in town, and you can BET it doesn't have a charger for EV's.

I've made 3 different trips from Cincinnati to Daytona and back in the last couple of months, 1 of which was with my 2 young kids. Shockingly enough, the point of driving was to get there to do what we were doing and the point of driving back was to get home.

With a 4 year old and a 7 year old, I had absolutely no problem driving with minimal stops, and the stops that were made were at most a few minutes each. I did find some amazing restaurants along the way that would let you drive right up beside them. It sounds crazy, but they would actually hand the "hot meal" through the window without having to leave the car. It was crazy, really. I ate hot meals and didn't even have to stop for an hour to do it. What will they think of next?!?

But have no fear, he'll be along shortly to tell us that "normal people" stop for 15 piss breaks... and if you don't, you are a danger to everybody around you.

I actually thought that was a Caddy.

That chrome looks to be right on the wheel well like a Cadillac.

That was my first thought. Then I looked at the headlamp area closer.

BUT, it could very well be a Cadillac indeed. I would say a good chance of it. That's why the ? after 'Olds'.

There's still a Stuckey's on I-10 East near Hankamer, on the way to Beaumont. Never stopped there, though.

I looked at some Olds photos. It's a '50-'53 Caddy on the far left for sure.

I have, and it barely qualifies. If I recall it was in a "classic" style Stuckey's building and moved to just a regular gas station looking place.

Same as the one you are thinking of?
