If that is accurate, why would they allow him to institute conservative policies during his presidency? Granted, most of his conservative policies were via executive order so they could be overturned easily. SCOTUS appointments is another matter though.

Massive tariffs and protectionism. Democrat

Massive government spending and wealth redistribution. Democrat

Increased immigration. Democrat

There are more. But they felt it was worth it to dismantle the pubs and then get back in and change it. They also didn’t expect him to win. They expected to run up a democrat easy path once he created havoc in the primaries.

They ran Hillary because of Trump. They knew she would lose because she was so incredibly unlikeable. They wanted him to win at that point and further rip the pubs apart. Which he did and continues to do.

On to protectionism, we're finding out now what happens when you outsource critical needs to other countries. Look at the Wu flu.....we discovered that much of our medication comes from China and India. We discovered that the PPE, the face masks, disposable gowns and the gloves? China. We discovered what happens when you can't get computer chips because they aren't made here, etc. We discovered that some protectionism is necessary for national security. For example, we're now finding out that our national security is weakened when we're no longer a net energy exporter, and Brandon had to go hat in hand to Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, and other countries, trying to buy oil.
