That makes sense, as I've never grieved over your lost dogs.

If you can catch her. She is very smart. What little we have taught so far she picks up instantly. And fast, this little wench can move and turn on a dime.

She loves all the toys we had from the past. brings them and plays with them all over the house like Simon use to.

She's going to be okay.

She'll probably have you trained properly in a couple of months. I mean, you have a big head start, already being potty trained and all.

Love me some dogs.

Came across a curious factoid earlier today. Human domestication of dogs coincided with the disappearance of the Neandertal species... Coincidence? Perhaps not.

Cats, dogs; both have their advantages.

Cats are more independent. They can be taught easily to "go" in a litter box. They don't tend to overeat. So can be left alone for a few days if the need arises. A good mouser is invaluable.

Dogs are social animals and need constant attention- like having a child in the home. Loyal. A good one will guard the home, and your "other" children.

Neanderthals disappeared? I think not! There are at least three that post here, that I have on ignore.

The family has only had one breed. One was really smart, the other
a average dog. The present one is a Rhodes scholar. The bad part is..
he thinks he is smarter than the owner. And sometimes he might be
as smart.(for a moment)

This almost always raised the cat's curiosity, and before long, they want to come over and sit on my lap.

I try to avoid going to a person's house if they have indoor cats. I can tell the instant I step inside if they keep cats. And the cats know if you are allergic to them and will make extra efforts to rub against your legs. I don't mind feral cats moving into one of the barns to control the mice population, but my dogs do. I find them flattened and soggy on the front lawn. They chew them enough to crush their bones but not enough to break the skin. They just leave them there, all flat and soggy. I have to pick them up by the tail to put them in a trash bag. No idea how a dog that size can catch a feral cat in the dark, but they do it again and again. You wouldn't think it would be possible.

"Hey Ringo, what are you rebelling against?"

Ringo: "What do you got?"
