Son decided to make brownies for fund raiser at work.. Cool... Well.... Not so cool as he used some older canola oil I was using to top the deep fryer up with. They tasted ok earlier, not awesome.
Mom came home had one and made a scene, he got pissed. Now that they've cooled off they taste horrible. I sent her to get more mix, new oil and more eggs.
He was proud of them as he made 6 boxes and another for me.
He's still pissed like he's the first one to screw up making food.

I was outside when he was making them otherwise I may have caught it earlier, oh well live n learn. We'll have fresh brownies in an hr again. Num num.

Seems to be improving, looks like it quit draining infection finally
It bled when I poked at it last night to clean it out.
Still using silver cream on it twice a day minimum.
I don't see him limping anymore and swelling looks to be reduced.
He gets another week maybe 2 of treatments, then trip north so probably keep it protected while gone also. Fingers crossed it continues to heal as I'm wore out dealing with it.

Make a batch of male and female brownies. Old oil will ruin a recipe.

I used self rising flour in a cake recipe that called for plain flour. I bet that oven still has red cake batter in it.

I did warn him the oil may not be good for brownies, I didn't think it was that old and really didn't smell bad when I checked awhile ago. He learned something.
