I like how the rule of thirds was followed in the pic of Hitler. The composition also used very nice leading lines... notice how your eyes are drawn to Himmler, and then to Hitler himself.

My point was that the subject matters. You said "Forget who's in them for a minute..." You can't do that. A good composition is only a small part of it. The subject is VERY important.

From a purely artistic standpoint, I don't disagree with that.

The problem is that to some, including myself (and obviously War Eagle) the subject trumps the composition in this case when it comes to either a positive or negative opinion being formed about the pictures as a whole.
