Of What? I already have a job offer than i intend on accepting.

If the other company makes an offer for more money then sweet, i'll take that one. If they don't, fine i'll take the original offer. The nice thing is that i have time zones working in my favor. I have a call tomorrow to go over a few of the particulars of the position at 11AM. 11AM here is 4PM there. I already have bought myself until Thursday morning for the second company to get back to me just due to the sheduling of the calls and the time differences.

I'm just giving the second company the opportunity to make an offer if they want. In talking to the recruiter i found out that they didn't plan on making a decision until next week after the holiday. I'm just saying, "Hey i have an interest but at the same time i have another offer. Do you intend on making one? If so do it now otherwise i am taking this other job."

They may say screw you go ahead and take it which i am perfectly fine with seeing that their is the other offer already on the table.

To be honest.. The more i think about it the more i like the offer on the table. The person that i would report to isn't even in the country. And even if he's a workaholic with the time zones i'm good..

So the recruiter called me first thing this morning. She informed me that although i am the leading candidate they will not be in a position to commit until the monday after New Years. She also asked if i would be available to come in then as well for one last interview. This position will be working closley with the Marketing department apparently and they want me to meet with a contact there who is on vacation until that monday. I'm not sure if i beleive this or not because they are still interviewing, then again it could be true with everyone taking time off between Christmas and New Years.

As a result I went ahead and signed the offer for the first job and sent it over to lock that position. Had to commit or let the employer think i am committed to the sure thing.I do fully intend on letting the interview process play out on this other job though as it seems like their $$$ will be better. If and when they make an offer and if its significantly better i will probably bring it to the company who's offer i accepteds attention and see if they are willing to come up a bit.

They way i see it is i have to look out for me and my family which is why i accepted the offer. The company who's offer i accepted wants me to start Monday January 9th and all this with the second company should play out by the week before i am supposed to start. I think thats ample time for the first company to call in their second choice candidate to reinterview and make an offer to replace me if i walk.
