today I tried something I have wanted to try for awhile - making my own ground beef.

We had a grinder that came with our kitchenaid - had for years. I bought a couple of LARGE briskets and several great chuck roasts last week. I did about 8 pounds of ground meat using a combo of brisket and roast. I ground in some of the brisket fat too.

Made SMASH BURGERS tonight on the griddle using the new grind. OMG did it all come out tasty. And not really a whole lot of work. My new way of having burgers , tacos, and meatloaf from now on.
