Why not just drive up to NJ? Too much traffic leaving your area?

I can understand that, having just driven 900 miles to Spokane, WA. This time we even went out of our way to take the Mt Hood scenic hwy. Beautiful scenery. I'm sure scenery is the last thing on your mind right now, though.

We are in Atlanta right now, best I can tell, at least at my house, things have not been too severe. Top winds around 50-60. I am hoping all the trees stay vertical.

We never lost power in the Waterford Lakes area. Later today I get to go assess the damage to my mother's place in Titusville. Eye wall missed her place by about 20 miles as the crow flies.

The storm passed far enough east of us that noting bad happened to us. About 45K homes re without power in the county. Otherwise it was not too bad.

We've had worse pop up thunder storms.

Phil Kircher used to be a friend/acquaintence of mine when here in the OP Florida region vette club......he moved south about 16 years ago.....
